Petroleum Engineering and Oilfield Consulting

Principal Engineer Tyson Foutz, whose expertise extends from drilling and completion through production and reservoir engineering, has broad experience in the upstream petroleum industry. He has run small oil companies, managed gas plants, fought well fires, designed artificial lift, and has laid hands on more iron than most engineers.

His career includes not only petroleum engineering but working in the field on rigs, in most domestic sedimentary basins and several international locations. Foutz is a licensed professional engineer with more than 25 years of oilfield experience (20 as an engineer). He is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers, American Petroleum Institute, and American Society of Safety Professionals, and was co-founder of the first student section of the American Association of Drilling Engineers while at Colorado School of Mines.
